About this site

Last updated: May 2026

Foot Size Guide is a small, free tool with one job: to make converting shoe sizes between the UK, EU and US systems quick and painless.

If you have ever tried to buy shoes from an international retailer, you will know the problem. A "size 8" means three different things depending on which side of which ocean the shop is on, and women's and men's scales add another layer of confusion. We built this so you don't have to keep a conversion chart open in another tab.

What this site is

A straightforward converter and reference chart, plus a short guide to measuring your own feet. There is no sign-up, no account, and no clever "AI" trying to guess your size. Just the numbers, presented clearly.

Where the numbers come from

The conversions are based on widely used industry-standard relationships between the UK, EU and US systems, cross-checked against established retailer size charts. Foot-length figures (in centimetres and inches) are included because, unlike the size numbers, your foot length doesn't change between brands — it is the most reliable thing to shop by.

Honest about limits: there is no single global standard for shoe sizing, and brands build shoes on different lasts. This guide gets you to the right starting point; the brand's own chart settles the final half-size.

Supported by advertising

To keep the site free, Foot Size Guide may display advertising. That is the entire business model — there is nothing to buy here and no personal data being sold.
